Enable implementation of Mool Nanakshahi Callendar

  1. Background: The current  Beerh of SGGS (Sri Guru Granth Sahib) Ji, printed by SGPC (Shrimony Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee), is the most authenticated version. Some printed errors have been unintentionally introduced during various stages of change in printing process.  These errors have been fully documented by SGPC scholar team for last several decades, but not implemented

  2. Steps to motivate SGPC to make the require corrections:

    • VSVSI is in a process to establish good contact with SGPC to enable these changes

    • VSVSI is also taking to other credible Sikh Organizations to request SGPC to make these changes

    • VSVSI will work with SGPC to make the corrected version of SGGS Ji available for distribution to worldwide Sikh community

    • Implement solutions with the support from collaborating organizations

  1. Background: The original Nanakshahi Calendar was approved and introduced by SGPC in 1999. This is the only historically, scientifically and Gurbani based Sikh Calendar, free of Bikrami or any other influence. This calendar is permanently synchronized with CE calendar to assure that all important Sikh events fall on same date every year. But unfortunately this has not been fully implemented yet

  2. Steps to implement Mool Nanakshahi Calendar:

    • Simplify the knowledge and understanding about Nanakshahi Calendar

    • Educate Sikh Sangat about Mool Nanakshahi Calendar

    • Make presentations in Gurdwaras and convince management to follow Mool Nanakshahi Calendar

    • Keep pleading to SGPC to officially implement Mool Nanakshahi Calendar

  2. Steps to prevent the growth rate decline of Sikhs:

    • Promote each young Sikh family to have 3 children

    • Enable moving of scattered Sikh population to high density Sikh population nodes

    • Encourage and enable marriage between Sikh Children

    • Promote teachings of SGGS among Sikhs and non-Sikhs by empowering the Sikh Missionary Colleges

    • Encourage Sikhs to own and run the businesses
